One of the best things about living in Central Florida is that there are oranges for sale everywhere. I love having a glass of juice in the mornings with my breakfast. Now that I buy oranges by the bagfuls I can drink fresh squeezed juice whenever I want.

I have been known to go overboard when they go on sale though. So I have included some great recipes to enjoy as well as some helpful tips and information that I use and I hope you enjoy.

The Valencia orange is in peak season May through August. It is,known as the summer orange. They are also called the king of the juice orange because they are thin-skinned and have very few seeds. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 / 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together with a wire wisk. Place meat in a zip bag then pour the marinade over the meat. Marinate at least 2 hours.
